Aeonium Sedifolium

Aeonium Sedifolium is a dwarf plant, one of the smallest in the Aeonium family growing to approximately 20cm over a four to five year period.

Features dense, sticky and glossy green rosettes with deep red markings and stripes on the margins and through the centres.

Rosettes grow at the end of wiry stems and measure 1.2cm in diameter while leaves grow to 1.5cm long by 1cm wide.

Flowers will appear in spring of yellow, star-shaped clusters on top of 8cm tall stalks.

Aeonium Sedifolium do not like hot, dry weather and will go through a dormancy period throughout summer. As such, will require minimal to no watering.

They prefer temperatures ranging from 18 – 24 deg C in order to thrive.

Rosettes will open during the cooler months and close up during the warmer temperatures, where its vibrant colours are most intense.

Active growth period is between late winter and spring,

A perfect feature plant in a decorative pot or displayed as a bonsai due its unique and interesting structural growth.
